Amar Mondir
The definitive digital directory of temples and spiritual heritage across Bangladesh
About Amar Mondir
Amar Mondir functions as a comprehensive digital archive and mapping tool for temples across all sixty-four districts of Bangladesh. The platform hosts detailed profiles of diverse places of worship, showcasing structural histories, local legends, deity details, and exact locations. Beyond directory listings, it features community-driven blogs documenting traditional festival guidelines, ritual procedures, and regional heritage articles.
Who is Amar Mondir for?
Designed for devotees, travelers, and cultural researchers who previously lacked a reliable database for Bangladeshi temples. Before this platform, planning pilgrimages or discovering ancient local shrines required relying on fragmented oral accounts or physical scouting, often leaving historically significant rural temples undocumented and inaccessible to the public.
How does Amar Mondir work?
Users search the directory by selecting a specific administrative division or filtering by temple classifications such as Kali, Durga, or historical ashrams. They view community-contributed profiles to check spiritual histories and location details. Registered contributors expand the catalog by submitting new temple entries along with verified regional backgrounds.
